Art Takeover (ATO) is an event that is driven by youths for the youth in the community. Their vision is to organize and create an event for the younger generation to express their creativity through different forms of art.
In Summer 2018, we were honoured to host the exhibit towards great success. As planning starts for Summer 2019, we are so proud of our Creative Genius instructor Brian Jiang who has been selected as Chair for ATO19!
Art Take Over is looking for dedicated volunteers! (Many volunteer hours available!)
Possible event activities include:
- an artist market,
- a tech and architecture mini expo
- a fashion runway
- an immersive public installation
- a mini performances stage
- indie animation and film screenings
- street art and murals…
Volunteers will become a part of a collaborative team that will help envision and organize the event. Ideally, candidates have a passion, interest, and/or experience in the arts.
Positions Include:
- finance (budget planning, sales etc.)
- marketing (graphic design, advertising, promo materials..etc.)
- logistics (resource coordination, materials, set up, etc..)
We are looking for long-term dedicated volunteers who can come to monthly meetings (dates TBD) starting mid- November to July.
