Summer Camp 2021

“ The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.”

Inspiring students to use their creativity and imagination to create art, as well as learning technical skills.

Summer Camp Weeks:

Week 1: July 5th to July 9th 2021 (FULL)

Week 2: July 12th to July 16th 2021 (FULL) 

Week 3: July 19th to July 23rd (FULL)
Week 4: July 26th to July 30th 2021 (FULL)

Week 5: August 3rd* to August 6th 2021 

Week 6: August 9th to August 13th 2021 (Few spots left)

Week 7: August 16th to August 20th 2021

Week 8: August 23rd to August 27th 2021

Age Group

Our programs are for children aged from 4-16 years old. We will group children according to their age. 

In Studio Camp: 

All materials are included. All tables and chairs are sanitized before and after class. For Full Day students, lunch break is from 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm.

Included snack breaks at 10:30 am – 10:45 am and at 1:30 pm – 1:45 pm.

Online Camp: 

What is Included:  Art kit with materials needed for  that camp week! Make it easy to learn from home. Art Kits can be picked up from the studio for free. Art kits can also be mailed at a fee to chosen address.  We will be using Zoom for the classes. Powerpoint will be sent to students before the program week.

Summer Camp Information

Fees:

Full Day:$540+hst/week

Half Day:$300+hst/week 

Single Full Day:$135+hst 

Single Half Day:$75+hst

Note: For week 5, will be prorated to 4 days*

 

Hours:

Full Day:  9am – 4pm (Lunch break at 12:00-1:00pm)

Half Day (AM): 9am – 12pm

Half Day (PM): 1pm – 4pm

July 5th to 9th 2021

Theme: Digital Art Fun! Explore the Digital Side of Art making

Ages: 8-16 years old (FULL) 

Travel through the internet portal and explore digital art since the advent of the computer! Students will learn how to create artwork using digital software, and explore different art styles from artists such as Takashi Murakami’s Superflat Art Movement from the early 2000s and modern cubism. 

July 5th to 9th 2021 

Theme: Famous Artists and their Art Styles!  

Ages: 4-10 years old (FULL)

Always wanted to know what made old masters such famous artists? Students will create artwork inspired by timeless artists with their own artistic flare! Join us for a day filled with fun and honing in your own mastery.

July 5th to 9th 2021 

Theme: Character Design, Comic + Figure Drawing
Ages: 10-16 years old (FULL)

Bring your favourite heroes to life! Children get to learn how to draw superheroes, and popular characters. For older students, they will learn figure drawing and human proportions, as well as tips and tricks to how to draw the various features of the face. 

July 12th to 16th 2021

Theme: Painting Animals and Their Habitats 
Ages: 4-16 years old 

This week, students will explore animals and create paintings inspired by facts about animals and their habitats. Each day, we will be exploring different animals, such as bears, birds, reptiles and tigers. This week will consist of fun projects where students will understand better how animals live.

July 19th to 23rd 

Theme: Digital Art meets the Commercial World! 

Ages: 8-16 years old 

Students can apply their newfound digital art skills learnt throughout the week to create various artwork that we see every day in the city. Advertisement relies heavily on captivating visuals and texts. This is a great stepping stone into poster making, typography, logo creation, character development, and other commercial graphic design.  

July 19th to 23rd 2021

Theme: Watercolour, Ink, Mixed Media

Ages: 4-16 years old 

 

Play with different mediums such as watercolour, ink and mixed media art. Throughout the week, students will be given different topics and themes and come up with creative ways to explore themes such as food, animals, landscape, still life and characters. 

July 26th to 30th 2021

Theme: All about Illustration!: Drawing + Character / Environment Design
Ages: 4-16 years old

This week focuses on drawing fundamentals. Student will also get to create children book inspired characters, environments, posters and all about illustration. They will learn about techniques and learning how to draw animals, people, landscapes and perspective. Throughout the week, students will be given different topics and themes and come up with creative ways to display those themes. For students that enjoy anime and cartoons, this is also included as an option for them to explore. 

August 3rd* to 6th 2021

Theme: Painting Animals and their Habitats

Ages: 4-16 years old

In this program day students will create art that captures the beautiful creatures on our planet! They will also explore drawing and painting the many unique homes of these animals.

August 9th to 13th 2021

August 16th to 20th 2021 

Theme: Science Fiction: Drawing Cartoons, Characters + People

Ages: 4-16 years old

Has your child always wanted to learn how to draw cartoons, fictional characters, or realistic people? On this day we teach detailed step by step drawing techniques so our students can create artwork of popular characters and people.  

August 16th to 20th 2021

Theme: Design Can Change the World!  

Ages: 8-16 years old 

Join for a week of fun design art projects. Design is about creatively solving real-world problems. It starts with carefully observing and critically understanding the world around us. Designers are artistic and logical. They work collaboratively with other experts, designers, and end-users. This process is often iterative and unpredictable, but it is rewarding. The right solutions can re(define) standards of fashion and function for a very long time, and it can even change the world! For example, Edison’s incandescent light bulb, Ford’s Model-T, Apple’s iPhone and many more.  

August 23rd to 27th 2021

Theme: CLAY + Mixed Media Fun! 
Ages: 4-16 years old 

This week, students will develop their sculpting fundamentals for the following subjects: animals, food and characters. This week will consist of fun clay projects, where students both develop their clay skills, and techniques for the subjects.
